Split Pea Soup

1 ham hock

1 lb dried peas

6 c water

1 onion, chopped

1 carrot, chopped

1 stalk celery chopped

¼ tsp thyme

¼ tsp savory

1 c milk

1 Tbsp butter

1 Tbsp flour

Add all ingredients except milk, butter and flour. Cook in crock pot for 8 hours. Remove meat from bones. Mix butter and flour adding as a thickener. Add milk, heat through.
