Shanghi Short Ribs

3 lbs pork short ribs cut across the bone, 1.5" 3 cloves garlic minced ½ c sugar 1/3 c balsamic vinegar 2½ tsp soy sauce ½ tsp molasses |
Cut ribs between the bone to separate. Place in roasting pan and bake at 450° until browned, stirring often (about 30-45 minutes). Drain and keep warm. In a wok mix sugar, vinegar, soy sauce molasses and garlic. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium, cook uncovered, stirring often. until sauce is reduced to about ½ cup (8-10 minutes). Add ribs to sauce and stir to coat. |
