¾ c flour

½ tsp soda

¼ pound butter

½ c sugar

½ c packed brown sugar

1 egg

1½ c quick oats

1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla, mix until smooth. Add flour and soda. Gradually mix in oatmeal. Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
