Gingersnaps

Grandma Ida


¾ c shortening

¼ c molasses

1 c sugar

1 egg

2 c flour

2 tsp soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

1 tsp ginger

Cream shortening, sugar, and molasses together. Add egg and mix. Gradually add the dry ingredients. Roll into small balls, dip one side in sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 375° for 10-12 minutes
