1c. butter, softened

¾ c sugar

¾ c brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

2¼ c flour

1 tsp soda

12 oz pkg chocolate morsels, approx. 2 c

1 c chopped nuts (optional)

Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar together. Add vanilla and eggs mix until smooth. Gradually add flour and soda. May need to add more flour if too rich. Add chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 375° for 9-11 minutes
