Naan Bread

Todd

½ c milk, hand hot

2 Tb sugar

2 Tb dry active yeast

3½ c flour

½ tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

2 Tb oil

1 - 6 oz. plain yogurt

1 large egg

Pour the milk into a bowl and stir in the sugar and yeast. Set aside for 15 minutes until the mixture is frothy. Mix flour, salt, and baking power in another bowl. Add yeast mixture and the rest of the ingredients. Mix into a dough, kneading 10 minutes until smooth. Put dough in greased bowl, cover and put in warm location for one hour. Preheat oven to highest temperature, with a cast iron pan inside. Knead the dough again lightly then cut into 6 pieces. Roll one piece at a time, place in hot pan, and return to oven until bread starts to puff, about 3 minutes. Remove bread from oven, toast until brown, about 30 seconds.
